”Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; In whose heart are the ways of them. For the LORD God is a sun and shield: The LORD will give grace and glory: No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, Blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.” (Psalm 84:5, 11-12 KJV)
Our God is a Rewarder of those who trust in Him. Jesus is our eternal Reward. Because of Him we can experience all the treasures of heaven now and all eternity.
Our Heavenly Father desires to bless His children. That is why we could never out give God. The blessings He has in store are eternal. These treasures are only accessible by His indwelling Holy Spirit. He reveals each one to our heart and helps us receive what He knows will be the Father’s very best for us.
When Martha questioned Jesus following the death of her brother Lazarus, “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall He live:” (Jn. 11:25) What does it mean to have resurrection life? Why is it so important?
This glorious truth means that the second death cannot touch you, if you are a child of God. It guarantees eternal life in the presence of our wonderful Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. It begins the instant you place your faith in what Christ accomplished for you upon that cross so long ago. The benefits are timeless and His mercy extended to undeserving mankind is beyond measure.
Do you have this resurrection life? Have you bowed your heart to the only One who is “the resurrection, and the life”? Tomorrow may be too late, so don’t waste another moment.
ABC's of Salvation:
Admit you are a sinner in need of forgiveness and salvation (Rom. 3:23, 6:23)
Believe what the Bible says about sin, its judgment, and Christ’s sacrifice for your sin (Rom. 5:6-12; Heb. 9:27)
Call upon the ONLY One who can forgive your sin and save your soul from eternal death (Jn. 14:6; Acts 2:21)
God makes it so very simple, but you must come by way of faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for you. Follow through with this step of faith by finding a Bible teaching church so that you may learn and grow and connect with other Christ followers. If you have prayed this, we would love to hear from you to pray with you and share helpful resources.
" He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay." (Matt. 28:6)
Hallelujah! What a glorious truth that all followers of Christ can rest in. The Godhead, in eternity past, set the plan in motion to redeem (buy back) sinful mankind. Only the blood of a spotless lamb was acceptable. Jesus was that Spotless (sinless) Lamb, required by Holy God to atone for sinful man. Just as John the Baptist proclaimed: "Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world." (Jn. 1:29)
Good Friday was only good because of the resurrection of our Savior on the following Sunday. Upon this foundation rests the whole of the salvation message. The Gospel is the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ by the divine promise and power of God the Father. This good news is available to all who choose to call upon Him by faith in the shed blood of Christ to cleanse their sin.
The apostle Paul reassures: "For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" (I Cor. 15:3-4)
“Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.” (Ps. 91:9-11)
Our safest place of protection is in the presence, power, and preeminence of Jesus Christ. When He takes up residence, through the indwelling Holy Spirit, we are afforded the grandest security available for all eternity.
If you don't know have this peace and assurance, you can right this very moment if you ask Jesus Christ to cleanse you of your sin and come into your heart. He shed His precious blood to give you life eternal and a hope that cannot be shaken.
"Whom have I in heaven but Thee? And there is none upon earth that I desire beside Thee." (Ps. 73: 25)

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Heb. 4:12)
Scripture is alive because the Giver of Life is its author.
Scripture is life giving, because God has ordained it so, to instruct and lead us into eternal life.
Scripture’s power is piercing and discerning into our inner most being, because nothing is hidden from our omniscient God.
All that we can gain from it is of eternal value…
**God’s love and sacrifice to save souls from eternal damnation
**God’s power to protect us spiritually and physically while guarding our hearts against doubt, deceit, and destruction
**God’s desire to see us grow and stand victorious as Followers of Jesus Christ through the power of His Holy Spirit
“as newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:” (I Pt. 2:2)
Our spiritual growth begins the moment we accept Jesus Christ as Savior. We are instructed to desire scriptural input to help continue our growth process. There must be an intentional effort to feed on God’s truth and apply His principles to our lives, or we will continually succumb to our old sin nature and the tactics of the enemy of our souls. This daily, moment-by-moment effort is necessary to build spiritual muscles and grow in our faith, as we rely more consistently on the Holy Spirit’s guidance.
“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.” (2 Pt. 3:18)
“The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, And night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, Where their voice is not heard.”
— Psalm 19:1-3
The expression of God’s glory through His creative excellence crosses ALL language barriers! Yet, observing what He has created; how He maintains it all so masterfully; and the magnitude of all that we have to look forward to in eternity as His redeemed creatures, can leave us speechless.
“When Jesus was on earth He did not mention meekness as one of several other virtues that were to be learned from Him, but rather as the one which was His primary characteristic—the one which we must learn if we are to find rest for our souls. He came to deliver us from the sins of self-examination and pride…He humbled Himself to become man.” With Meekness ~ By: Andrew Murray
“Come unto Me (JESUS), all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matt. 11:28) This rest only comes by way of relationship with the only true God through His Son Jesus Christ. When we lay aside our pride and humbly admit our desperate need for Him to take our sin in exchange for eternal life. Only then may experience His peace because we are now invited to give all our burdens over to our Savior, Jesus Christ.

“I wisdom dwell with prudence, And find out knowledge of witty inventions. The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: Pride and arrogancy, and the evil way, And the froward mouth, do I hate. Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.” (Prov. 8:12-14)
Wisdom and prudence are inseparable. According to the Oxford Dictionary, prudence is “acting with or showing care and thought for the future.” As a Believer in Jesus Christ, we are to exercise prudence by using godly wisdom to discern the best choices for our future. Prudence, along with godly wisdom, means we allow the Holy Spirit to dictate and direct the best course of action in our life.
Our reliance upon Jesus Christ is expressed through prayer and meditation upon scriptural principles. Through His indwelling Holy Spirit, we are given insight and the prompting necessary to help us desire God’s very best and resist the temptation of our flesh and the world system.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.” (Gal. 5:22-26)
I am so grateful for the gift of the Holy Spirit. He is our divine Helper, as Jesus promised, because He knew that on our own we could never generate the thoughts, desires, or behaviors that display Christlikeness. In His Word we have been given instruction, encouragement, and warnings on how to know and please Him, thereby cultivating genuine relationships with Him and others that honor and glorify Him.
"Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come. He shall glorify Me: for He shall receive of Mine, and shall shew it unto you.
All things that the Father hath are Mine: therefore said I, that He shall take of Mine, and shall shew it unto you." (Jn. 16:13-15)
“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:” (Jn. 11:25)
Death is sure and life goes by in the blink of an eye. Unshakeable peace and hope can be ours if we have trusted in the only sure anchor for eternal life, Jesus Christ, and His shed blood.
If you died today, are you assured of eternal life? We can indeed be sure. (I Jn. 5:13)
In what or whom have you placed your faith? It indeed does matter! (Jn. 14:6) Jesus is the ONLY way to the Father and heaven.
Our works do not determine salvation. We could never do enough to earn entrance into heaven. (Eph. 2:8-9; Tit. 3:4-7) It’s ONLY by the grace God freely offers to all. He truly died for the ENTIRE world. (Jn. 3:16-17)
Now is the best time to accept Jesus’ gift of salvation. Tomorrow is not promised to us. (2 Cor. 6:2; Heb. 3:7-8, 12-13)
“And He (Jesus) said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” (2 Cor. 12:9)
Grace that is life-giving. By faith through grace, God alone can bring new life from the spiritually dead.
Grace that is life-sustaining. Kept by His grace and power, no matter the battle we face. Relying on His power and resting in His grace is what keeps me going when everything around me says quit.
Grace that is life-enriching, enabling me to recognize and experience the abundant life Jesus Christ says is mine, because I am His.
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (Jn.10:10)
(Ps. 46:1) “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear...” (Ps. 46:1-2a)
Knowing God is my refuge no matter the storm that’s raging, is my source of peace and security.
Knowing He is my strength even when mine is depleted, is where calmness resides, but anxiety must exit.
Knowing He has provided and will continue providing exactly what I need, is my source of contentment.
"...for with God all things are possible." (Mark 10:27)
With Christ in it all things are turned around for good,
Our messes reversed to right because of His righteousness, power, and presence!
Only Christ can bring life from death….
Make the last become first….
Turn darkness into light….
Mend our brokenness to make us whole again.
Genuine soul care begins with saving faith in the work of Jesus Christ upon the cross for my sin. It continues with feeding on His word for spiritual nourishment and growth; drawing near to Him through prayer, trust, fellowship and obedience to His will. How well nurtured the soul is in these areas will determine my spiritual health and how it impacts all relationships, including service and faithfulness for Jesus Christ.
"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."
(3 Jn. 2)
